Technical Consultant
Essential duties and responsibilities:
* Meeting with clients to determine requirements.
* Working with clients to define the scope of a project.
* Planning timescales and the resources needed.
* Clarifying a client’s system specifications, understanding their work practices and the nature of their business.
* Travelling to customer sites.
* Liaising with staff at all levels of a client organisation.
* Defining software, hardware and network requirements.
* Analysing IT requirements within companies and giving independent and objective advice on the use of IT.
* Developing agreed solutions and implementing new systems.
* Produce high quality of solutions, design, and consulting documents.
* Presenting solutions in written or oral reports.
* Helping clients with change-management activities.
* Managing design and implementation of preferred solutions.
* Designing, testing and monitoring new systems.
* Conduct design sessions, seminars and public presentations
* Preparing documentation and presenting progress reports to customers.
* Organising training for users and other consultants.
* Being involved in sales and support and, where appropriate, maintaining contact with client organisations.
* Identifying potential clients and building and maintaining contacts.
Requirements:
* Male or Female, max age 40 y.o
* Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience required.
* Prefereably from technical hands-on/engineering background.
* Minimum 5 years working experience as IT consultant is required for this role.
* Minimum 8 years of working experience as IT consultant for senior consultant role or principal consultant role.
* Previous experiences in global IT consulting companies such as Accenture, Deloitte, EY, PWC, etc will be highly regarded.
* Advanced and broad knowledge in at least one of the following technologies: infrastructure connectivity, security, unfied communication technologies.
* Understand business process and has previous experiences in at least one of the following industry: Banking and Financial, Insurance, Mining & Petroleum, Telco service provider, Pharmacies, Manufacturing.
* Strong technical/​analytical.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.
* Ability to listen attentively; display patience and flexibility.
* Analyze complex situations and provide effective solutions.
* Make independent decisions using sound judgment;
* Develop and implement new processes and methods
* Organize and prioritize work load
* Ability to maintain a professional relationship with customers and employees.
* Well organized, high attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
* Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment and prioritize tasks.
* Microsoft, Cisco, voice/unified communication, and vendor netural security certification such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC, CISA, etc are highly desirable.
